When we ask parents what they value most about our school, invariably they tell us that the close knit family feel and nurturing relationships are the number one.
We take a progressive approach to emotional regulation, actively teaching children how to manage their big feelings and providing loving guidance when things become difficult.

Comfortable and happy kids
At Kwoorabup we know that children need to feel secure and relaxed in order to access their full learning potential each day. That’s why you’ll find cosy nooks in all our classrooms where students can find a quiet restful place to settle their emotions, or simply settle down with a friend and good book.
Beautiful environments
At our school we want the children to feel at home, so our classrooms are designed to be open with room for children to move around between their learning activities.
We are so lucky to have such a beautiful outdoor environment, and we feel it is equally important to create a restful and inviting space for indoor learning as well. This follows the Reggio Emilio philosophy of ‘the environment as the third teacher’.
Families are welcome
We are proudly an ‘open door’ school, where parents and family members are welcome and encouraged to come and be a part of the school day.
We understand that to create a cohesive and nurturing environment for the children it is important for them to be able to share their experiences with the most important people in their lives … you!
For those parents whose working and family responsibilities make it hard to join in during the school week we work hard to share the learning journey through our photo based apps that instantly bring the precious moments straight to your phone.
There is no obligation to help out at the school, only opportunity, which allows the gift of your presence and help to be freely given and received with the thanks it deserves.
